These means that when you make card payments over the internet your card data is encrypted before it is sent to the bank for verification.

Browsers like the new versions of chrome may not show the https:// in the browser address bar, but you can copy the web address and past it into notepad on your computer and you will see it will past the full address including https:// at the beginning.
